Dental cleanings in Georgetown — gentle, thorough, never rushed.

A full hour in a massage chair, under a weighted blanket, with lavender in the air. Same clinical thoroughness as any dental office — you'll just want to come back.

Massage dental chair at Kurly's Pearlies independent hygiene clinic in Georgetown, Ontario

At Kurly's Pearlies, a dental cleaning isn't a 30-minute scrape-and-run. It's a full hour (or more) in a massage chair, under a weighted blanket, with lavender in the air and music you actually chose. Same clinical thoroughness as any clinic — the only difference is you'll want to come back.

What's included in every cleaning.

The Kurly's Pearlies difference.

Most cleanings feel rushed because the chair has to turn over in 30 minutes. Here you'll get:

Pricing.

Cleaning cost is based on time required (units of scaling). Someone who hasn't seen a hygienist in two years needs more time than someone who comes every four months. If you don't have benefits or want an estimate, text or call 416-460-4436 or email kpearlies@gmail.com.

What to expect at your first appointment.

  1. Quick intake — health history, what brings you in, what you've liked or disliked at past hygienists
  2. Comfort setup — chair, blanket, music, anything else you want
  3. Exam + oral cancer screening
  4. Cleaning — ultrasonic + hand scaling + polish
  5. Before/after photos + tailored home-care recommendations
  6. Direct insurance billing or e-transfer

Pair a cleaning with Philips ZOOM whitening in the same visit — both done in one session, and the freshly cleaned enamel whitens better.

Frequent asks.

How often should I get a dental cleaning?

Every 6 months is standard. Some patients benefit from cleanings every 3–4 months depending on their oral health and history.

Why choose an independent dental hygienist?

Registered Dental Hygienists in Ontario can practice independently. You get the same clinical cleaning as in a dental office, but with a full hour, one-on-one care, and no upsell pressure. Read more on independent hygienists vs. traditional clinics.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — we bill your insurance company directly for cleanings, including Manulife, Sun Life, Canada Life, and GreenShield. Whitening is cosmetic and not covered by insurance.

Do I still need to see a dentist?

Yes — we recommend an annual dentist exam for x-rays and to detect issues beyond hygiene scope, such as cavities between teeth or bone loss.

Can I get a cleaning while pregnant?

Yes — cleanings are safe and recommended during pregnancy. Hormonal changes can increase gum inflammation, so hygiene care matters even more. We'll adjust the chair and pace for your comfort.
