Philips ZOOM Teeth Whitening — up to 8 shades brighter in one visit.

The #1 patient-requested professional whitening system in North America — administered by a Registered Dental Hygienist in a spa-style Georgetown clinic.

Philips ZOOM teeth whitening LED treatment lamp at Kurly's Pearlies in Georgetown, Ontario

Philips ZOOM is the most-requested professional teeth whitening brand in North America — and by Ontario law, it can only be administered by a dental professional. In about 60 minutes in a massage chair at our Georgetown clinic, you'll leave with a noticeably brighter smile that lasts up to a year. Coffee drinkers, wedding parties, "I have a thing on Friday" people — this is for you.

How ZOOM whitening works.

  1. Prep (15 min): photos, shade record, and a full gum-and-lip isolation barrier
  2. Whitening (45–60 min): hydrogen peroxide gel activated by the ZOOM LED lamp, in 15-minute cycles
  3. Finish (15 min): after photos, your aftercare plan, and an optional desensitizing treatment

Why ZOOM — not the at-home kit you saw on Instagram.

In Ontario, aestheticians can only legally use lower-strength products. It is not the same result. Curious what authentic ZOOM should cost? Read our honest guide to ZOOM whitening pricing across the GTA.

Best results: cleaning first.

Whitening over plaque or tartar is like waxing a dirty car. Either:

After your session — the 48-hour "white diet".

For 48 hours, avoid anything with colour you'd worry about on a white t-shirt: coffee, tea, red wine, kombucha, Gatorade, soya sauce, balsamic vinegar, ketchup, tomato sauce, and berries. Brush gently. Wondering how long results hold? Here's how long ZOOM whitening actually lasts.

Keep the result

Many clients pair ZOOM with custom take-home whitening trays — worn once or twice a year for 30 minutes to maintain their shade between visits.

Frequent asks.

Is Philips ZOOM teeth whitening safe?

Yes. ZOOM is FDA-approved, clinically proven safe, and even helps strengthen enamel. It's administered by a Registered Dental Hygienist with full gum and lip isolation.

Does it hurt or cause sensitivity?

Some people feel brief, mild sensitivity ("zingers") during or after treatment. We use gum isolation, adjustable light cycles, and an optional desensitizing treatment to keep you comfortable. Any sensitivity typically resolves within 24–48 hours.

How long do results last?

Up to one year, depending on diet and habits like coffee, tea, wine, and smoking. Touch-ups with custom trays extend results indefinitely.

Will it work on my fillings, crowns, or veneers?

No — whitening only changes natural tooth enamel. Fillings, crowns, and veneers stay the shade they were made. We assess your smile beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.

I have gum recession — can I still do ZOOM?

Usually yes. Exposed root surfaces are more sensitive, so we isolate them carefully and may shorten light cycles. In some cases custom take-home trays are the gentler, better option — we'll tell you honestly.

I have white fluorosis marks — will they get worse?

White spots can appear more pronounced immediately after whitening, but they typically blend back in within a few days as the surrounding enamel rehydrates and brightens evenly.
